What started as an idea became a real community project at Kirkstall Valley Farm in Leeds.
It took weeks of conversations, planning, sourcing materials, learning new skills and getting our hands dirty.
People brought what they could. Materials were found, delivered and worked into the build. Knowledge was shared, new skills were learned and more people joined in as the project took shape.
The oven is more than an oven. It is another place for the community to gather, share food, meet new people and create memories together.
